YouthCan 2013

Congratulations to Julito Velasco and Iron Patrick Primor for their successful presentation during the YouthCan last April 29, 2013. Their topic was entitled Pasig River:  Dead or Alive, An Update to the World Youth. It was indeed another exciting evening for all of us.

Math Made Easy by My Favorite Teacher

Many have said desperately that math is their Waterloo. Thank God I can live with it except for some complicated problems and solutions.

I had problems in geometry that got me irritated and impatient until I met my teacher in college. I loved the way she calmly delivered her lessons and assisted the whole class  patiently while solving the problems. If at some point we got stuck she would approach us and motivate us to move on through her guided principles.

Water Testing in Quirino High School

Late Report: WATER TESTING IN QUIRINO HIGH SCHOOL

The Seminar Workshop conducted last Sept. 24, 2011, was informative and interesting. As the workshop progressed everybody was very excited to know the results of the tests applied to three types of water samples--water from a pond, water from a river, and water from the faucet. Everybody concluded that the experiment is very helpful and could be done also in our own houses as well as in the community where we live so that everybody will be aware and cautious about the water we drink.

Science Day Workshop

As in- charge of the SEED here in Quirino High School, I have been grateful to be working with Corinne Damas- Sandiford who supervised the SEED Science Day Workshop on January 8, 2011. It’s theme was the “The Energy”  that made  us aware how to conserve our source of energy. The workshop was worth it because our students have already the desire to learn more and understand science in and out of the classroom.

SEED Science Day Workshop

The workshops done in our school were so exciting. This was our first time to do solar cooking. (cooking hotdogs under the sun) and the other workshop was fruit power. Our students and other teachers  also enjoyed the workshops. We planned to do the same  on April or May, 2011.
