Environmental awareness has made people cut down on cut down on their use plastic and other materials that are not biodegradable. Most of us are somewhat conscious about our use of everyday items including plastic bags and papers.
One item that we all tend to overlook is the paper coffee cup. Did you know that Americans use 16 billion paper coffee cups a year? That’s the equivalent of 253 million pounds of solid waste! It takes 20 million trees and 12 billion gallons of water to meet the annual demand for paper cups.
I don’t know about you, but even with things like paperless billing I have a lot of extra paper around my office. For a while I have been tossing the paper in the recycling bin or running it through the printer again on the backsides, but then I had a great idea. I am always looking for scratch pads, to write phone messages, shopping lists, to-do lists, stuff like that. What if I could find a way to reuse that paper . . .
