What can you do to prevent the spread of malaria in your community? The Malaria and You SEEDKIT explains some of the techniques used to stop the spread of this dreadful disease. The kit is a hands-on activity designed to help students learn how malaria is spread and some easy prevention techniques. This kit can be used to conduct a school workshop or as part of a larger collaborative workshop. You can also lead a short workshop at any school in your area, or do a science project with y our own kids at home.

This SEEDKIT includes an introductory video, instructional videos, workshop outline, slide presentation, and laboratories and articles from the SEED online science center. You will need to obtain some items on your own for the malaria prevention demonstrations, including a clear plastic or glass drinking container, plastic wrap, a dark-colored carbonated drink (such as cola), and drinking straws.
