Do you want to know why buildings in many warmer climates use clay roof tiles? The Evaporation SEEDKIT is a hands-on activity designed to help students learn about evaporation and how it can be used to cool a room, a container, or even a person. This kit can be used to conduct a classroom workshop or as part of a larger teacher training workshop. You can also lead a science project with your own children at home.
This SEEDKIT consists of only the lesson plans and videos listed on this page. These are also available for purchase on a DVD (09-SK-107), if you are going to an area without Internet connection. You will need to obtain some items on your own, including concrete roof tiles, unglazed clay tiles, tap water, and two thermometers.
