10 Years and 2 Days Journey
In exactly 76 days, on May 2, 2013, I will repeat a journey which I made 10 years ago.
In my previous blogs I had mentioned that I was born and raised in Ukraine. In 2002, my mother and I made a long journey and moved to United States. And this year, for the first time in over 10 years, I will make the journey "home"!
The web social life, a trap for lost teenagers
It begins with one empty white page, and it ends with massive damages!
Yes, that’s my opinion about what web social life is. It could be a key to travel beyond the ocean or a weapon to kill ourselves down slowly, painfully and messy…
For some it’s a door to heaven. They use it to create a better life, a virtual one which they can modify as much as they want. Ffor them it’s a good thing to finally live the life that they always dreamed of as perfect, as the one they see in their wildest fantasies…

Gingerbread Traditions
I love the smell of gingerbread. It's sweet and a little spicy, and it reminds me of my favorite time of year: winter. I didn't much care for gingerbread when I was growing up, but that's probably because my mom didn't like it, so she never bought us gingerbread cookies, never baked us gingerbread muffins, and never helped us build a gingerbread house. (Don't worry - we had plenty of other wonderfully yummy traditions to compensate for this, so we didn't miss out!) But still, I loved the smell. It was everywhere in the shops, the bakeries, and the restaurants from November through December.

Insulating curtains

There are lots of ways to tweak energy consumption in your home. I have found an effective—and attractive—way to reduce heating costs. The trick is to use insulating curtains—or draperies or blinds, depending on what works best for your windows.
The idea is to create a barrier that will keep out cold air. This is done in a variety of ways which can accommodate different budgets. The most basic insulating curtains have a thin foam backing that prevents cold air from coming in. Others have a thin reflective layer that functions the same way. More expensive and complex versions use multiple layers, with foam backing, a reflective layer, and cotton padding to block incoming cold air. In this type the insulating part is a separate liner. The thicker and more expensive versions also work better. And if you are handy with a sewing machine, you can make the lined curtains yourself. You can also buy premade thermal linings to attach to existing window treatments.
Hogar Dulce Hogar - Home Sweet Home

My home sweet home ... possesses from snowy mountains to arid deserts and visit the best beaches and spectacular cities, throughout the year Hallacas also eat at Christmas, any day and Cachapas pavilion at family gatherings. Thank God for letting me live in my home, Venezuela.
Home Sweet Home
Home took on a little different meaning for me last year - I was traveling back/forth between Houston and Gatwick on business training a new team for most of it. Home often translated into a hotel room at the end of a long day. What made it all bearable was all of the little things that family and friends sent to me: a picture of a child, a good book to read, music, and a lot more.
They say home is where the heart is, and that is certainly true. For me, I looked at those small gifts as welcome breadcrumbs so I could always find my way back home.
Home...
I am a citizen of the world and planet earth is my home. Political and administrative frontiers are fake. I feel we are all from one planet - earth - regardless of our race or origin. I am not in favor of removing all differences between us but rather celebrate them. And when you think of it earth is a small and limited space. Just realize that we were 300 millions a 1,000 years ago and we are now 7 billions !? Watch this... and think of the potential consequences.
