Solar Cooking Challenge in Quirino High School, Philippines

     Time is approaching so fast that people forgot to conserve and prevent. We are very exposed to new technologies specifically, the gas stove(to introduce the topic).
     A way to conserve gas is here. Using heat from the sun(known as solar power) to cook food is an efficient way to do the cooking and laughing with friends.

A solar cooker uses natural heat from the sun to cook food. It is a simple, safe, and convenient way to cook without consuming fuel. This means that it is friendly to our environment.  SEED students have been building their own solar cookers and testing them in workshops for years.  The project teaches them about harnessing the power of the sun to make a delicious meal - typically hot dogs.  It's also a lot of fun!

                 Last Saturday, January 8, 2011, a SEED Science Day Workshop happened at Quirino High School. Together with

the SEED Project Manager Ms. Corinne Damas, SEED Facilitators Mr. Simon Lim and Mr. Hafiz Azizi, teachers, students

It was how many days ago since the SEED Science Day workshop was held in the Quirino Hall, Quirino High School simply known as QHS. There were lots of surprises that we encounter during that day. It was really a lively and jolly active learning workshop for everyone.
