A couple of months ago I was cleaning out my cabinets stuffed with old magazines. Sifting through tons of old editorials a few issues caught my attention that I decided to keep. One of them was a BusinessWeek issue from January 23, 2006. That's right, that was 7 years ago!
The cover story claims that, "More math geeks are calling the shots in business."

The weather this winter in Houston has been unpredictable! It's hot one day, it's cold the next! Sometimes the weather can change drastically in one day! But this weekend we got a glimpse of wonderful weather, it was sunny, but not hot, it was windy, but not cold. So we took a trip to the Houston Arboretum.

10 Years and 2 Days Journey
In exactly 76 days, on May 2, 2013, I will repeat a journey which I made 10 years ago.
In my previous blogs I had mentioned that I was born and raised in Ukraine. In 2002, my mother and I made a long journey and moved to United States. And this year, for the first time in over 10 years, I will make the journey "home"!

Well, it is not technically dangerous, actually, it it quite safe.You can also call it an Oxford comma if the "serial" in the name makes you feel uncomfortable.

Two year post Advance Surface Ablation (ASA) surgery
Two years ago, August 20th 2010 I went in for my first surgery - an eye surgery.
My vision started getting bad when I started school in first grade. In second grade I was already wearing glasses. The genes in my family do not help either, everybody in my family wears glasses. By sixth grade, my nearsightedness was -4, and in 2010 right before my surgery, at 21 years old, my nearsightedness was -11!!! My glasses were about half a cm on the sides.

This weekend I came back from vacation, which I spent camping in Panama City Beach, Florida.
I like to go camping because we barely spend any time inside anyways; the campsite has showers, and we only need the tent to sleep in. During the day we are usually at the beach, walking down the front beach road, playing mini golf, or doing other activities.
