Speeches

Mohamed Kermoud, Schlumberger NAG manager, expressed his best wishes for the school community.

SEED Algeria celebrated the inauguration of two new secondary schools, the Lycée Bouda and the Lycée Timi, both in Adrar, a southwestern province, on April 16, 2008. Schlumberger transformed a classroom at each school into a new SEED lab and provided furnishings in addition to computers and internet connectivity as part of the two-year connectivity grant awarded to the schools. Today there are four SEED schools in Algeria.

Schlumberger Shared Services manager and SEED volunteer Smail Djebrouni oversaw both projects and the inaugural events. In attendance at the inauguration were students and teachers from both institutions; the directors of both schools, Mr. Brahimi Mustapha of the Lycée Timi and Mr. Harouz Mohamed of the Lycée Bouda; Representative of the governor (Wali) of Adrar; the education minister of Adrar, Mr. Lehbib Abdeldjalil; and Schlumberger External Affairs Manager, Mahmoud Amara Korba. Schlumberger NAG GeoMarket manager Mohamed Kermoud, and several other Schlumberger managers and employee-volunteers, local officials and community guests.
