My Math Puzzle was sent through Ma' am Molina' s blog because my account is still under approval. 

 

A. PUZZLE NAME

 * What are your Chances?

 

B. DESCRIPTION OF PUZZLE SOLUTION

* To solve the puzzle, state all the possible pair of outcomes when the two dice were rolled. Make a list of all the possibilities.

 

C. HOW THE SOLUTION WAS FOUND?

* From numbers 1-6,  I stated all the the possible outcomes and the find the pairs whose sum is 7.

THE PROBABILITIES:

1-1          1-2          1-3          1-4          1-5          1-6

2-1          2-2          2-3          2-4          2-5          2-6

3-1          3-2          3-3          3-4          3-5          3-6

4-1          4-2          4-3          4-4          4-5          4-6

5-1          5-2          5-3          5-4          5-5          5-6

6-1          6-2          6-3          6-4          6-5          6-6

The underlined pairs have the sum of 7. This means that 6 out of 36 outcomes have the probability to get the sum of 7.

 

D. HOW INTERESTING AND CHALLENGING THE PUZZLE WAS

* This puzzle is easy, yet interesting. It only requires understanding and analization of the puzzle.

 

E. ADVICE FOR SOMEONE ELSE WORKING ON THE SAME PUZZLE

* Probability problems are easy because you can just list down the possible outcomes or results. It' s up for you to discover other available solutions for the said puzzle.

 Great job with the puzzle- I like the way you organized the outcomes on the chart.  It sounds like a fun problem and a cool fact to share if you are ever playing with dice!

Вероятность выпадения кубиков (1:1) равна 1/36

Вероятность выпадения кубиков (3:4) (4:3) равна  1/18

т.к. Возможно выпадение  (3:4) и (4:3) - в сумме 7.
