Summary

A two-day Facilitator Workshop preceded the five-day Collaborative Workshop for teachers and students .The Facilitator Workshop followed the same sequence as the Collaborative Workshop in Malaysia, but shorter. This allowed the facilitators to model the workshop they were about to lead. The steps were:

1. Safety briefing
2. Introduce the Global Climate Change and Energy theme through activities from the SEED web site and presentations of past projects by experienced participants
3. Presentation of the tools - MicroWorlds and GoGo – followed by practice with them
4. Brainstorming project ideas in groups
5. Project planning in groups
6. Project development
7. Final sharing and presentations
