FABLAB@SCHOOL in Moscow, Russia

FABLAB@SCHOOL is installed and functioning at Lyceum 1502 in Moscow, Russia.

The FABLAB@SCHOOL is a partnership between D. Euan Baird, SEED, Schlumberger, and Stanford University, in collaboration with the Center for Bits and Atoms at MIT. Inspired by MIT’s FabLab concept, Stanford University Professor Paulo Blikstein created the FabLab@School, a brand-new kind of educational space to learn science, mathematics, and engineering, using cutting-edge fabrication and prototyping equipment, robotics, scientific instrumentation, and computer modeling.

The first FABLAB@SCHOOL workshop was held at Lyceum 1502 in Moscow, Russia April 25-29, 2011. The official inauguration was on June 9, 2011.
