I was born and brought up in Assam, India until I moved to Delhi, India's capital city, to pursue my studies in Personnel Management at the YMCA Institute of Management Studies, New Delhi, India. I joined Schlumberger in 1990 at the Nazira base in Assam and am working as an Administrator looking after Client Invoicing, Administration and Logistics. Before Schlumberger, I worked for HCL Ltd. as a Service Coordinator looking after maintenance of photocopier machines and computers.

I was more than happy to be asked to coordinate the SEED program in the ZIN location as I like the work and it's very interesting to do something for the community and the deprived. My involvement in SEED has helped me to know what is done around the world through SEED and also to learn about how we can help the less fortunate. It's really great to know that the people who are benefiting from SEED are very happy as otherwise they may not have seen or used a computer. Some places are very remote and have yet to get computer education and connectivity.

My hobbies are Travel and Photography. Quite a few of my photographs were published in newspapers and magazines, which is a great feeling. I love to travel to new places, more to hill stations and to get close to nature. My message to people will be let's help the deprived as much as we can as we do not lose anything doing that and they gain a lot. Let SEED be one of the best social welfare programs for the deprived.
