invention

Today is National Cherry Popsicle Day - A simple invention worth remembering!

The ingenuity of nobody should be underestimated.

An 11-year-old named Frank Epperson experienced serendipity when he left his fruit-flavored soda outside on the porch with a stir stick in it and the drink froze to the stick in 1905.

It took 18 more years for Epperson to apply for a patent for a
"frozen ice on a stick" called the Epsicle ice pop, which his
children re-named the Popsicle. Celebrate today by ... eating
a Popsicle of course!   [source: Audri and Jim Lanford]

Discovery or Invention?

The difference between discovery and invention is that discovery may be finding things already exist in nature while invention involves the new use of old things or the creation of new things, materials, or designs, etc. Do you think so ?
