solar cooking

Solar Cooking! I'm hoping to use it again as a class activity!

I already integrated solar cooking into my Physics class way back in 2011.  The students found the activity great and exciting.  My students used the hotdogs as the food to be cooked with the solar cooker.

I hope some schools are also using solar cooking ideas to be integrated in science subjects.

I'm planning to integrate solar cooking in my Chemistry class this year.  May I know, is my integration in Chemistry awkward or not?

How about that, folks?

A great experience to learn new things. Unbelievable though it seems, things that you don’t know will happen do. Science nowadays is amazing. Scientists are studying things that can make our life interesting. Who knew that you could cook under the sun? Well you can be, and it is so cool.
Schlumberger Excellence in Educational Development had proved it. The solar cooking challenge is so much fun--cooking different dishes under the sun.

Time is approaching so fast that people forgot to conserve and prevent. We are very exposed to new technologies specifically, the gas stove(to introduce the topic).
A way to conserve gas is here. Using heat from the sun(known as solar power) to cook food is an efficient way to do the cooking and laughing with friends.

The workshops done in our school were so exciting. This was our first time to do solar cooking. (cooking hotdogs under the sun) and the other workshop was fruit power. Our students and other teachers  also enjoyed the workshops. We planned to do the same  on April or May, 2011.
