Here is a question from Ask the Experts.

 

The physics equations we learn seem to be about continuous behavior. But at many levels of nature, behavior seems to be discrete or stepwise. Can you please explain this difference?

Scratch-mania lands in Egypt!

It seems that the Children’s Cancer Hospital in Cairo, Egypt, became a big fan of the Scratch program that was introduced by SEED earlier in the year.


New kids are being introduced to the program by volunteers and teachers, and competitions are being held to encourage kids to innovate and design their own stories.

Collaborative Workshop

From August 1 to 10, 2011 a group of students from the Energized for STEM Academy in Houston, TX visited the Amazon Basin in Peru. The students sponsored their trip by holding book drives in their own school district in order to share the gift of literacy with their peers in Iquitos, a community in the Peruvian Amazon.
