The other morning, I was driving around before work and I noticed a piece of a rainbow in the sky. It was sunny, although there were high, thin clouds all around. How did a rainbow occur without rain?
My son is 3 1/2 years old. He and I made up a new game called "evidence of rain" in which we find signs and signals that it has rained (or is still raining) while we are driving around town. He likes to point to puddles on the ground or people walking with umbrellas and say "that is evidence of rain". We live in San Diego, so it doesn't rain very much here.
