I am Tom Lough, SEED educational consultant. I am opening this blog as a journal for theSEED workshops in Macae, May 26-27 and May 28-31. Today, May 18, I am working on some of the tools we will be using in the workshops. These include the GoGo Board, the Scratch software, and the SEED water testing kit.
My name is Tom Lough, educational consultant to SEED.
Do you have a special place? My special place is my home. It is special to me because my family is there. When I am at home, I feel surrounded by an atmosphere of love and comfort. My home gives me the peace of mind I need, so that I can face the tasks before me with calmness, patience, and focus.
I'm in the process of reading a very interesting book by Daniel Pink called Drive: The Surprising Truth About What Motivates Us.
The other day, I happened to observe a lighted candle that had a spotlight trained on it. When I looked at the shadow of the candle on the wall, it seemed to be the shadow of an unlit candle! The flame seemed to have no shadow at all! Here's a photo of what this looked like.
To be sung to the tune of "Jingle Bells"
A day or two ago
I got an email note
From Love Zubiller and
This is what she wrote.
"Let's all agree to do
A little bit of fun.
A daily SEED can grow to be
A joy for everyone!"
Daily SEEDs, daily SEEDs, coming every day!
Oh what fun are daily SEEDs to change our work to play! Hey!
Daily SEEDs, daily SEEDs, I just love them so!
I can't wait to see the next and watch it start to grow!
