Fractal Generators
As a child I remember having a computer program that allowed me to create fractals. I started by creating simple line designs and then it would generate a never ending fractal based off of my design. This created a strange obsession for me....I always wanted to be able to prove the computer wrong, I wanted to find the end of the fractal! Of course this wasn't possible because fractals are never ending patterns...but still to this day I always keep searching for that end, just incase.
Here are some website for you to play on if you like fractals too:
Tree Fractals: http://www.coolmath.com/fractals/fractalgenerators/generator4/index.html
Geometric Fractals: http://www.coolmath.com/fractals/fractalgenerators/generator5/index.html
Fractal Software: http://www.chaospro.de/index.php
Explore a Fractal: http://www.pbs.org/wgbh/nova/physics/fractal-detail.html
I challenge you to find other fractal sites to post on here or photos of your favorite fractals (I would love to see all the different ones we can come up with!). If you use these sites, or ones you find on your own, please share with us how you used it in your classroom or school work. Have fun exploring!
