SEED Workshop 17 June 2011 - Rio de Janeiro
On June 17 we had a great talk at the Tenente Antonio João school in Rio de Janeiro, just a few blocks from the BRGC (Brazil Research and Geosciences Center).
I have always heard about the talks that Schlumberger employees give, but have never before had the chance to take part, so this was my first participation on the SEED program.
Mariana Mesquita, who was responsible for the event, suggested that we talk with the teenage students about the oil industry, and so we did! We tried to set out a general idea of how engineers work.
We came up with the idea and would like to propose a kit that could include different rock and rock samples as well as some small drillbits and any other things that we could use to show them some of our tools.
This post is quite old, I should have submitted it a couple of months ago, I know, but for me it is still important to share this experience and this idea. It would be great if we could discuss this idea!
