2011 SEED Annual Artwork Exhibition
Each year, students from SEED-connected schools around the world create artwork to appear on the Schlumberger Annual Greeting Card. The theme for the artwork this year was
NATURE’S CLASSROOM: Throughout history, people have learned from nature. We see a tree that provides shade on the ground, so we build canopies and awnings to make our own shade. Scientists call this biomimicry, copying nature’s ideas. Where have you seen biomimicry in your part of the world? This year’s artwork exhibition presents visions of biomimicry and more that were created by SEED students from around the world. View all of the artwork by clicking on the country galleries below. You can also find examples of biomimicry throughout the SEED online science center.
